The Student Centred Appraisal of Need provides a consistent approach in determining educational needs of individual students, so that additional resources to support students with a disability can be allocated to schools on an equitable basis. It is a way of looking at the particular needs of each student and the support they require to access school program and participate in the curriculum.
The meeting is facilitated by a trained Education Directorate moderator. Copies of the meeting record are distributed to participants.
